Started realizing by this point that my creativity was exceeding the scope of our project!

Feedback from the project leads necessitated drastic redesigning of the characters late in production, the Jack in the Box receiving a significant facelift, so to speak!

This was the first concept design I did exploring potential antagonist designs.

The protagonist of the game is a magic teddy bear, leading me to explore the idea of one of the enemies being a parasitic corruption of one of their comrades.

For a while we were exploring the idea of spidery creatures composed of shadow, but ultimately this concept was abandoned because it didn't fit with the evil toy theme of the game.

Really liked the concept of this, but the idea of trying to animated a character with so many limbs proved too great a risk with the limited time we had, so it was scrapped.

A collection of concept designs for a collection of demonic toys that were planned as the antagonists for my team's Major Production game at AIE. This documents my creative design process, including iterations back & forth in both 2D & 3D. Sadly only one of these designs got used, heavily redesigned and relegated to a background prop!
